Make it six blowout wins for the Kingsley-Pierson Panthers this season. They were the clear victor by a 63-38 margin over Homer. Given Kingsley-Pierson's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 96th in Iowa, while Homer is ranked 205th in Nebraska), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the defeat, Homer saw an underclassman step up: Lilly Harris scored 17 points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that Harris scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Hightree, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Homer struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.

As for Homer, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Kingsley-Pierson will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Northwest Webster at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th.
