The Selinsgrove Seals are taking a road trip to face off against the Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Selinsgrove earned a 14-7 win over Shikellamy.
Selinsgrove's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ethan Miller led the charge by rushing for 110 yards and two touchdowns. That's the most rushing yards Miller has posted since back in December of 2023.
Selinsgrove was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 235 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shikellamy only rushed for 86.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hollidaysburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Jersey Shore on Friday, sneaking past 27-25.
Hollidaysburg got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Maddox Bainey out in front who threw for 221 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Hollidaysburg also got help from Gavin Bell, who showed off his sure hands for 112 receiving yards.
Hollidaysburg wouldn't let Jersey Shore keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Cristian White was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance.
Selinsgrove is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Hollidaysburg, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
