The El Dorado Christian Buffalos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a 38-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Overland Christian. The result was an unpleasant reminder to El Dorado Christian of the 34-29 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
McKenzie Cole and Johnna Gingerich certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Cole scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Gingerich scored five points along with 26 rebounds. That was a full 59.4% of El Dorado Christian's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
El Dorado Christian's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Overland Christian, their victory ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-13.
El Dorado Christian will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Applewood Christian at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully El Dorado Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Tuesday. Overland Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
