Lakes has gone a perfect 10-0 against Round Lake recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Eagles will host the Panthers at 4:45 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Lakes is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 22-9 margin over Grayslake North on Tuesday. The Eagles not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 30, 2024 (when they won 18-2).

Liv Tautges was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and four runs. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Zoey Christian was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.
Lakes always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous five contest, Round Lake brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They never let Streamwood get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Piper Berry was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, Mya Hagi was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Arianna Cabral, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
The victory got Lakes back to even at 9-9. As for Round Lake, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.
Round Lake's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lakes hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. It's a different story for Round Lake, though, as they've only averaged .158. Will they be able to contain Lakes' hitters?
Everything went Lakes' way against Round Lake in their previous matchup back in April, as Lakes made off with an 11-1 victory. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
