Rusty Hatch Crosses Big Stat Threshold
North Gem was led to victory by Rusty Hatch, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Hatch rushed for 223 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 2.3 rushing touchdowns per game. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Hatch must have Mackay's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Hatch last faced the Miners back in September of 2023, he rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns.

Craig Yost posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 264 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 108 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Unfortunately for Mackay, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Yost. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Yost saw the Miners), he rushed for 158 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.

A Season-Best Effort from Jacen Farr Leads Challis over Watersprings
Challis was led to victory by Jacen Farr, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Farr's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 102 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Challis now has a winning record of 4-3. Farr and Challis will challenge Mackay at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

While Watersprings might've come up empty on Friday, Korban Nelson wasn't going down without a fight. Despite the loss, Nelson was still balling out as he threw for 260 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns.
