After three games on the road, A.C. Reynolds is heading back home. They will take on the T.C. Roberson Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A.C. Reynolds knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully T.C. Roberson likes a good challenge.
A.C. Reynolds can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They breezed by Erwin on the road to the tune of 66-37. Given A.C. Reynolds' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while Erwin is ranked 221st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead A.C. Reynolds to victory, but perhaps none more so than Julie Janus, who scored 15 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Harvey, who scored 11 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, T.C. Roberson came up short against Asheville on Tuesday and fell 41-31. T.C. Roberson has not had much luck with Asheville recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
A.C. Reynolds pushed their record up to 19-1 with that victory, which was their tenth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for T.C. Roberson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.
Everything came up roses for A.C. Reynolds against T.C. Roberson when the teams last played last Thursday as the team secured a 76-23 victory. Does A.C. Reynolds have another victory up their sleeve, or will T.C. Roberson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
