The Pleasant Hill Billies will venture away from home to take on the La Pine Hawks at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Pleasant Hill's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four matches.
On Wednesday, Pleasant Hill made easy work of Glide and carried off a 14-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Billies in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won five in a row.

Judah Kelso made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Pleasant Hill got a massive performance out of Kaden Fisher, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI and one triple. Those five RBI gave Fisher a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Landon Kelley, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Pleasant Hill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, La Pine came up short against Creswell on Tuesday and fell 7-3.
La Pine saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryson Adams, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
Pleasant Hill pushed their record up to 9-5-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for La Pine, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
La Pine's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Pleasant Hill has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .448. It's a different story for La Pine, though, as they've only averaged .335. Will they be able to contain Pleasant Hill's hitters?
Pleasant Hill couldn't quite finish off La Pine when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can the Billies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
