Lynn has gone 9-1 against Meek recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Lynn Bears will challenge the Meek Tigers at 2:30 p.m. Lynn is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Lynn is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victor by an 18-8 margin over Dora on Tuesday. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by ten runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Kyler Jordan, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those runs were his first of the season. Dylan Dunagan was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, Meek sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over Cold Springs on Tuesday.
Skylar Farley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five runs allowed (all of which were unearned) on six hits.
At the plate, Mason Powe was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Miles, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Lynn's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.6 runs. As for Meek, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Meek's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lynn hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having got 0 of their hits per game. It's a different story for Meek, though, as they've only got 0 of their hits this season. Will they be able to contain Lynn's hitters?
Lynn beat Meek 9-4 in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lynn since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
