The Seaford Bluejays will head out on the road to face off against the Dover Senators at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Seaford can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Thursday. They blew past Sussex Academy 56-23 on the road.
Even though Dover has not done well against Cape Henlopen recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Dover snuck past Cape Henlopen with a 48-44 win. The victory was just business as usual for Dover, who after three games remain undefeated this season.
The victory got Seaford back to even at 1-1. As for Dover, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Seaford was dealt a bruising 59-31 loss at the hands of Dover in their previous meeting back in February of 2019. Can Seaford avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
