Sadly, the Williamsburg Academy Stallions are still looking for their first win of the season after nine matches. They had to suffer through a rough 46-14 loss at the hands of Christian Academy. Williamsburg Academy has not had much luck with Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
It was another big night for Payton Rumley, who dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 19 rebounds, and 12 steals for Christian Academy. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rumley has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Owens, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Williamsburg Academy dropped their record down to 0-9 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.8 points per game. As for Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.
Williamsburg Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wilson Hall at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th. Hopefully Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
