Sadly, the West Valley Central Wildcats are still looking for their first win of the season after six contests. They suffered a rough 60-35 loss at the hands of Ellicottville on Friday. West Valley Central has struggled against Ellicottville recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Ellicottville found their leader in underclassman Blake Smith, who scored 24 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Chudy, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
West Valley Central dropped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Ellicottville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
West Valley Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ellicottville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklinville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ellicottville comes in on four and Franklinville on three.
