The Corbin Redhounds will head out on the road to face off against the Somerset Briar Jumpers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Corbin is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
Six must be Corbin's lucky number: they beat Leslie County with that score not once but twice on Wednesday. The Redhounds beat the Eagles by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-2.

Corbin got a great performance from Hunter Todd as he pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Todd has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Kade Elam was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Noah Cima, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Corbin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Leslie County only posted a batting average of .130.
Meanwhile, Somerset can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against Southwestern by a score of 5-2.
The team relied heavily on Conner Vanderploeg, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kole Grundy, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Corbin pushed their record up to 17-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for Somerset, their record now sits at 8-14.
Corbin was able to grind out a solid victory over Somerset when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 4-1. Will the Redhounds repeat their success, or do the Briar Jumpers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
