Meanwhile, Parkland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-11 heartbreaker at the hands of Whitehall. Even if the Trojans couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Parkland got a big performance out of Anna Belletieri, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Belletieri has posted since back in April of 2024. Emma Kushner was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Pocono Mountain West's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2. As for Parkland, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
