Carlisle moved up to 243 from 282 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Southwestern Buckeye - Buckeye. The Indians climbed the ranks as a result of a 62-3 win over Northridge.
Carlisle extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Polar Bears, 62-3. The victory was the fourth in a row for Bill Jewell's team.
Preble Shawnee's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Corey Hooker threw for 118 and two touchdowns and Christian Letner had 209 yards receiving. On the ground Austin Moore chipped in 51 yards. Wyatt Austin helped Preble Shawnee's passing attack out by catching four balls for 15 yards.
Preble Shawnee's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Arrows feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Joby Williams has thrown for 971 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Letner has 44 catches for 762 yards. Brandon Frost leads the league in rushing with 352 yards.
A big matchup in Southwestern Buckeye - Buckeye this week will be when the Indians take on Milton-Union. As it stands, Carlisle is in third, while the Bulldogs are in first.
Milton-Union was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in the league. Earlier in the week, Bret Pearce's team triumphed over Madison Senior 47-20.
