The Carbon Hill Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Oakman Wildcats with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Carbon Hill took down Oakman 58-44 on Thursday. For Carbon Hill, this counts as revenge for the 61-49 loss Oakman walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Oakman still got an impressive performance from Trenton Warren, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 17 rebounds. The matchup was Warren's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rick Johnson, who scored 11 points.
Carbon Hill pushed their record up to 15-5 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.1 points per game. As for Oakman, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.
Carbon Hill will be playing in front of their home fans against Corner at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Oakman will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fayette County at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd.
