With a playoff game on the line, the Abilene Christian Panthers rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with a 52-42 win over the Warriors. The win was familiar territory for Abilene Christian who now have four in a row.
Rylee Holman and Rylan Goss certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Holman threw for 384 yards and six touchdowns, while Goss picked up 182 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Holman hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Luke Martin, who picked up 82 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Abilene Christian's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Lucas Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
Abilene Christian will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Covenant Christian. One thing working in Covenant Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups. Lucas Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
