The Cedar Park Timberwolves fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They managed a 17-13 win over Glenn last Friday. Given Cedar Park's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while Glenn is ranked 478th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cedar Park was led to victory by Ayden Arp and Trae Hill. Arp threw for 183 yards and a touchdown, while Hill rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown. Gavin Chapa did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 80 receiving yards.
Despite the loss, Glenn still got an impressive performance from Dejuan Dugar, who rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown. Dugar is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last seven games he's played.
Cedar Park's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Glenn, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedar Park will face off against Leander at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Glenn, they will head out on the road to face off against Georgetown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Georgetown's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Glenn has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
