Highlands Ranch has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Rangeview Raiders at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Highlands Ranch has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 479 points over their last seven matchups.
Highlands Ranch can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 75-54 margin over Heritage. The victory was just what Highlands Ranch needed coming off of a 88-64 loss in their prior matchup.
Olin Anderson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Aidan Snody was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, Rangeview scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 87-43 win over Hinkley. Given Rangeview's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while Hinkley is ranked 256th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Rangeview found their leader in underclassman Archie Weatherspoon V, who scored 15 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Kenny Black-Knox, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Highlands Ranch's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Rangeview, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-9 record this season.
Highlands Ranch came up short against Rangeview in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 61-52. Can Highlands Ranch avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
