The Sunrise Mountain Mustangs had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 54-50 W over Centennial on Thursday. The victory was just what Sunrise Mountain needed coming off of a 77-46 defeat in their prior game.
Sunrise Mountain's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jason Higgins, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Hill, who scored 11 points.
Sunrise Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sunrise Mountain won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Kellis at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. Kellis is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Centennial, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Ironwood at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th.
