Worth County suffered a tough 70-50 defeat at the hands of Fitzgerald on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Worth County has suffered yet this season.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jariah Williams, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and seven steals. Williams hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Breonna Jackson, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Worth County has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Fitzgerald, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-6.
Worth County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cook at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. As for Fitzgerald, Fitzgerald and Dodge County will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
