The Randle Lions are on the road again on Friday and play against the Huntsville Hornets at 1:00 p.m. on November 24th. Randle knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 games -- so hopefully Huntsville likes a good challenge.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Randle had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 47-21 victory. Considering Randle has won eight matchups by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Landen Callis-Williams was his usual excellent self, rushing for 172 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. Sincere Timpson also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, after only ten points in their last contest, Huntsville made sure to put some points up on the board against LBJ Austin on Friday. Huntsville was the clear victor by a 54-28 margin over LBJ Austin. With Huntsville ahead 27-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Traeshawn Brown went supernova for Huntsville, rushing for 164 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, while also catching a touchdown. Brown was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 61 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakhavien Birks, who rushed for 33 yards and two touchdowns.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 11-1.
Everything came up roses for Randle against Huntsville in their previous meeting on November 2nd as the squad secured a 35-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Randle since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
