Baseball Recap: Warner Takes a Loss

Warner was the 5-2 winner over Panama when they last played one another back in March of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. Warner came up short against Panama on Tuesday, falling 13-3.

Talon Longshore was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. He has become a key player for Warner: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4-1 otherwise. Peydon Siebert was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Warner now has a losing record of 4-5-1. As for Panama, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warner will welcome Haskell at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Warner's pitchers better be ready for this one: Haskell has averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Panama, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Haworth at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
