Andrean's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Munster on Thursday. The Fighting 59ers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Lowell Red Devils. The victory continues a trend for the Fighting 59ers in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won five in a row.
Sadie Drousias made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Drousias was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Micah Snider was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Grasha, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Andrean was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lowell only posted a batting average of .200.
