Midland is 1-7 against Concord since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Midland Mustangs will be playing at home against the Concord Pirates at 3:00 p.m. Midland has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 14.
Last Tuesday, Midland was the victim of a tough 67-43 defeat at the hands of Harrisburg. Midland was down 49-29 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Meanwhile, Concord unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 77-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bald Knob. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Midland dropped their record down to 2-18 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Concord, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 25-6.
Midland came up short against Concord in their previous matchup back in February of 2019, falling 57-53. Can Midland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
