The Kimball Knights can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They secured a 35-31 W over Jefferson. The victory was just what Kimball needed coming off of a 61-6 loss in their prior match.
Despite the loss, Jefferson still got an impressive performance from Layla Carr, who scored nine points along with 12 rebounds and two steals. Carr continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Kimball's win ended a 15-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-9. As for Jefferson, they bumped their record down to 3-12 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Kimball will face off against South Oak Cliff at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. South Oak Cliff comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Jefferson, they will be playing at home against White at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. White will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
