The Deltona Wolves had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 28-18 victory over Pine Ridge on Friday. The victory was just what Deltona needed coming off of a 59-0 defeat in their prior game.
Pine Ridge's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Chris Boddie, who gained 103 total yards and two touchdowns, and Alex Johnson who punched in a rushing score.
Deltona's win bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Pine Ridge, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-5.
Deltona will take on University at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. University presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Deltona in Florida (University is ranked 45th, while Deltona is ranked 372nd). As for Pine Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Atlantic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
