The North Montgomery Chargin' Chargers will challenge the Faith Christian Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. North Montgomery is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, North Montgomery got the win against Crawfordsville by a conclusive 12-2. The Chargin' Chargers haven't had any issues with the Athenians recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Piper Ramey made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
In other batting news, North Montgomery got a massive performance out of Kendra McClamroch, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases McClamroch has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Ella McManomy, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.
North Montgomery was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Faith Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 10-0 to North White.
North Montgomery's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Faith Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.
North Montgomery's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's contest. The Chargin' Chargers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.1 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Faith Christian, though, as they've been averaging only 0.5 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will North Montgomery continue to outrun the ball?
