In what's become a running theme this season, the Carlisle County Comets gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 67-26 victory over Hickman County at home. Winning may never get old, but Carlisle County sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Carlisle County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kenton Arnold out in front who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Arnold is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Carter Burnett, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Carlisle County is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Hickman County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.
Carlisle County will be playing at home against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Community Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Comets are ranked 133rd). As for Hickman County, they will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dawson Springs has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 190 points over their last three matches.
