Shain Meador Delivers Best Performance of Season
Mt. Carmel was led to victory by Shain Meador, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Meador rushed for 243 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 15.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 59 yards and a touchdown on perfect 5-for-5 passing, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The victory got Mt. Carmel back to even at 4-4. Meador and Mt. Carmel are taking a road trip to challenge Lawrenceville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Gavyn Cothern Goes Supernova in Richland County Win
Gavyn Cothern was instrumental in extending Richland County's winning streak to eight on Friday. Casey-Westfield had no answer to Cothern as he rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes. Cothern's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 123 rushing yards.
Richland County pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Cothern and Richland County will square off against Robinson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Big Game from Johnson As Robinson Won 44-40
Robinson picked up their fourth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Reese Johnson. Paris had no answer to Johnson as he threw for 136 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 50 yards.
Johnson might have his next game, a road matchup with Richland County, circled on his calendar. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Johnson saw the Tigers), he threw for 302 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
