Oak Ridge is 5-0 against New Caney since December of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oak Ridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taylor Jones, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Another player making a difference was Chioma (treasure) Emeh, who scored six points along with 15 rebounds and seven steals.
Meanwhile, New Caney strolled past Willis with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 51-37.
Oak Ridge's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for New Caney, their win bumped their record up to 9-19.
Everything came up roses for Oak Ridge against New Caney in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 68-27 victory. With Oak Ridge ahead 34-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
