The Valley Regional Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Cromwell Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Valley Regional is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Valley Regional pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 68-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of East Hampton.
Despite their defeat, Valley Regional saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jack Driscoll, who scored nine points along with 18 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Dolinsky, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Cromwell at home against North Branford on Tuesday as the team secured a 90-54 win.
Valley Regional now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Cromwell, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 1-2.
Valley Regional took a serious blow against Cromwell in their previous meeting back in February, falling 62-22. Can Valley Regional avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
