The Lincolnwood Lancers will head out on the road to challenge the Carrollton Hawks at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Lincolnwood's game last Monday was all tied up 16-16 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 39-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Mac. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lincolnwood in their matchups with North Mac: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, Carrollton scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They claimed a resounding 83-22 victory over North Greene on the road. Carrollton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 22 points or more this season.
Carrollton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Harper Darr, who scored 26 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Darr has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lauren Flowers, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Lincolnwood has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Carrollton, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-6.
Lincolnwood was dealt a bruising 66-29 defeat at the hands of Carrollton in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Lincolnwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
