The Memorial Red Devils scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 82-50 win over Champion. Memorial has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 22 points or more this season.
Aziyah Flores continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 23 points and nine assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of David Moore, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Champion's loss came despite strong showings from Marky Nolan and Jake Andreatta. Nolan scored 14 points, while Andreatta scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Ian Orwig was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Memorial pushed their record up to 12-4 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Champion, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
Memorial will be playing at home against Brookfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Brookfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday. As for Champion, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crestview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Crestview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
