The North Henderson Knights suffered their closest loss yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of East Henderson by a score of 51-49. North Henderson was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Henderson apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
North Henderson lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Noah Pierce, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zion McDaniel, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Caiden Brewer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for East Henderson, scoring 29 points along with three steals. Brewer has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 11 times he's played. Brady Nix was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
This is the second loss in a row for North Henderson and nudges their season record down to 12-4. As for East Henderson, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
North Henderson will take on Hendersonville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Hendersonville is ranked 122nd, while North Henderson is ranked 127th). As for East Henderson, they will head out on the road to square off against Pisgah at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pisgah has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 425 points over their last six matchups.
