Lincoln had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Aberdeen Central on Friday. The Patriots put the hurt on the Golden Eagles with a sharp 11-1 win. Considering the Patriots have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Lincoln's fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-2. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs across that stretch. As for Aberdeen Central, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-12.

Lincoln has already played their next match, a 6-1 win against Pierre T.F. Riggs on the 9th. As for Aberdeen Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-2 loss against Jefferson on the 9th.
