The Libby Loggers were the 46-44 winner over the Lincoln County Lions when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Libby took a 46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lincoln County on Thursday.
Lincoln County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kara Stanger, who scored 14 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stanger has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynn Miller, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Libby's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lincoln County, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Libby will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Polson at 4:00 p.m. on January 13, 2024. Lincoln County will be home for the holidays to greet Whitefish at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Montana (Whitefish is ranked 50th, while Lincoln County is ranked 59th).
