The Chicopee Pacers will face off against the Chicopee Comp Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Chicopee Comp will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Chicopee extended their winning streak to ten on Friday. The Pacers were the clear victors by a 21-7 margin over West Springfield.

Raelyn Loud was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over 4.1 innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-6 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Aviah Blankenship was a standout: she went 4-for-6 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. She also put up a stolen base, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Adeline Olbrych, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
Chicopee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chicopee Comp). Everything went their way against Palmer on Friday as they made off with a 27-13 victory. The Colts have beaten the Panthers the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.
Faith Irwin looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Chicopee Comp got a massive performance out of Audrey Mosko, who got on base in three of her six plate appearances with five stolen bases, five runs, and one RBI. Those five runs gave Mosko a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianna Bird, who went 3-for-6 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Chicopee Comp's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Chicopee, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0.
Chicopee Comp's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Chicopee has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.2 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Chicopee Comp, though, as they've been averaging only 4.1 strikeouts. Will Chicopee keep running through batters, or will the Colts buck the trend?
Chicopee got the 'W' in their previous meeting on April 8th against Chicopee Comp by a conclusive 18-3 score. Will the Pacers repeat their success, or do the Colts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
