Manassas is 0-9 against the Warriors since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Manassas Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Booker T. Washington Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Manassas is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Manassas was beaten by the Bulldogs 54-18. While losing is never fun, Manassas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 399th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 122nd).
Meanwhile, Booker T. Washington earned a 51-41 victory over the Phoenix on Monday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Booker T. Washington.
Booker T. Washington's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Zoey Townes, who scored 13 points along with two steals, and Malia Johnson, who scored 13 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Townes has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Antaniya Britt, who scored 11 points.
Manassas' loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Booker T. Washington, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season.
Manassas was taken down by the Warriors 53-13 when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can Manassas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
