The Glencliff Colts suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They took a serious blow against Hume-Fogg, falling 69-33. Glencliff was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hume-Fogg apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Leading Hume-Fogg to victory were Alonzo Rhodes and Michael Nwoye. Rhodes dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds, while Nwoye dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Rhodes is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Miles Rucker was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two blocks.
Glencliff has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Hume-Fogg, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.
Glencliff will be playing in front of their home fans against Lawson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Lawson is ranked 281st, while Glencliff is ranked 306th). As for Hume-Fogg, they will head out on the road to square off against Valor College Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Valor College Prep will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
