Stanley County had to hit the road for their first game, and unfortunately the road hit them back. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 7-40 walloping at Mt. Vernon/Plankinton hands. Stanley County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game, as Mt. Vernon/Plankinton apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time they met. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Stanley County off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Mt. Vernon/Plankinton a 1-0 record.
Next week, Stanley County take on Winner at 7:00 PM. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous game, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair. As for Mt. Vernon/Plankinton, they will face of against Wagner.
