Lodi Academy had to suffer through a rough 75-29 loss at the hands of Aspire Langston Hughes Academy. Lodi Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-15.
Despite the defeat, Lodi Academy had strong showings from Ty Zinke, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and four steals, and Landen Lippert, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lippert has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Kanas, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.
Lodi Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-9. As for Aspire Langston Hughes Academy, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.
Lodi Academy will head out on the road to face off against Ben Holt College Prep Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Ben Holt College Prep Academy's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Lodi Academy has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. Aspire Langston Hughes Academy will take on Delta Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
