The Girard Yellowjackets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Erie First Christian Academy on the road to the tune of 85-51. Girard might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six matches by 26 points or more this season.
Despite the loss, Erie First Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Avery Collins, who scored 33 points. The match was Collins' eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyshaun Tate, who scored nine points.
Girard pushed their record up to 9-1 with that victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26.3 points. As for Erie First Christian Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Coincidentally, Girard and Erie First Christian Academy will both be playing Mercyhurst Prep the next time they take the court. Girard will host Mercyhurst Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Erie First Christian Academy will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
