The Sylacauga Aggies will head out on the road to take on the Marbury Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sylacauga can now relate to. They took a 56-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Volunteers. Sylacauga has not had much luck with Central of Clay County recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Marbury only won by two when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 23-point they dealt Elmore County on Thursday. Marbury was the clear victor by a 61-38 margin over Elmore County. With that victory, Marbury brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
Marbury's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but DJ Graham led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Graham is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jacob Driver, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds.
Sylacauga's loss dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Marbury, they pushed their record up to 6-12 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
