After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Zapata, the Kaufer Seahawks were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 36-22 win over St. Augustine. For Kaufer, this counts as revenge for the 40-26 defeat St. Augustine walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2021.
Madison Arredondo was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Kaufer's points. Another player making a difference was Caitlin Medlock, who scored 6 points.
Kaufer's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. As for St. Augustine, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Kaufer will head out on the road to face off against Falfurrias at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Augustine will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Providence Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
