Dayspring Academy can attribute much of their success to Jordan Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and 11 steals, and John-Michael Martin, who shot 4-for-6 from downtown and dropped a triple-double on 41 points, 12 rebounds, and 17 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jackson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Erik Furdui, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Mount Juliet Christian Academy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Dayspring Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-18.
Mount Juliet Christian Academy strolled past the Shires when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 65-50. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Martin, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten assists.
