The Horace Mann UCLA Community Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Larchmont Charter Timberwolves at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Horace Mann UCLA Community sitting on three straight victories and the Timberwolves on five.
On Wednesday, Horace Mann UCLA Community didn't have too much trouble with the Wolverines at home as they won 56-41.
Derrick Boston continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points. Boston is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 19 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Koree Riley, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, after only two points in their last contest, Larchmont Charter made sure to put some points up on the board against the Wolverines on Monday. Larchmont Charter blew past the Wolverines 70-49. Larchmont Charter has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season.
Horace Mann UCLA Community has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Larchmont Charter, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4.
Horace Mann UCLA Community skirted past the Timberwolves 2-0 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Horace Mann UCLA Community since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
