After flying high against the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors on Monday, the West Nassau Warriors came back down to earth. West Nassau had to suffer through a rough 60-25 loss at the hands of Clay. West Nassau was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-12.
Despite the loss, West Nassau still got an impressive performance from Abagail Bailey, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of MaKena Mutchler, who scored five points.
West Nassau has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Clay, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Nassau won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Eagle's View at 6:00 p.m. on January 11th. Eagle's View is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games. As for Clay, they will head out on the road to face off against Bishop Snyder at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Snyder is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
