Perryville is a perfect 4-0 against Joppatowne since November of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers will challenge the Mariners at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Perryville has four straight wins, Joppatowne has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
While Perryville's victory against North East wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Indians 3-2.
Perryville wouldn't go down easily and took North East into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The final score came out to 25-22, 24-26, 22-25, 25-21, 15-10.

Perryville's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Caitlyn O'Donnell, who had 30 digs and two aces, and Bri Bowman, who had 13 digs. Those 30 digs gave O'Donnell a new career-high.
They weren't the only good servers: Perryville was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. They are a perfect 7-0 when they serve at least ten aces.
Meanwhile, Joppatowne came up short against Fallston on Tuesday, falling 3-0.
Joppatowne was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-13, 25-16.
Perryville's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Joppatowne, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Everything went Perryville's way against Joppatowne in their previous meeting back in September, as Perryville made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
