American History's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Edgar De Los Santos, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Ahmad Davis, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.
McNair Academic has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for American History, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McNair Academic and the Generals will face off on February 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. University Academy Charter is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for American History, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Bengals at 11:30 a.m. on February 3rd. Bloomfield is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
