Tecumseh came out on top against McLoud on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Savages blew past the Redskins 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Savages, who have now won seven games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Zant Shirey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Tecumseh is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-10 otherwise. Shirey was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Tecumseh always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McLoud only posted an OBP of .250.
The win got Tecumseh back to even at 11-11. As for McLoud, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-15.
Looking ahead, Tecumseh is taking a road trip to face off against Little Axe at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for McLoud, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Harding Prep at 4:00 p.m. McLoud is facing Harding Prep at the right time seeing as Harding Prep is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
